On Friday, St. Peter's boys team took on Tyldesley Primary and Sacred Heart in two more football fixtures. The boys played well against a very strong and clinical Tyldesley side, but were defeated by 10 goals to 4, with George, James, Ben and Cole scoring for St. Peter's The boys hit their groove in their second match, with some really slick passing football, and were able to dominate against Sacred Heart in a cracking 7-1 win, with goals from George (2), James (2) and a hat-trick from Leo securing the 3 points. Again, the boys represented the school with pride and sportsmanship, embodying resilience to come back from a frustrating defeat to win the second match. Well done boys! This Monday, St. Peter's took on Holy Family Primary School in a tightly contested match. Unfortunately the balance of luck was not in our favour and we were defeated 5-4, with goals from Jake, Leo and James (2). The lads have represented the school brilliantly over the past few weeks and finish the season having played some fantastic football, scored some great goals, and shown superb sportsmanship. Well done to all of our boys who represented the school. We look foward now to the Girls' league which begins after half term.

Last Monday, our boys' football team faced off against St Ambrose Barlow and Garrett Hall primary schools. The boys represented the school brilliantly, playing with passion, quality, and above all, excellent sportsmanship. In our first match, St. Peter's were able to emphatically defeat a good St. Ambrose Barlow side 9-4, with goals from Troy (2), Leo (2), Ben, James and a hat-trick from Cole. Unfortunately, the lads were defeated 7-4 by Garrett Hall in a closely contested match, with the scores at 3-3 until the last few minutes, when we were caught on the break trying to pull back after their fourth goal. Goals from Troy, Leo (2) and Cole kept us int he game until the end. There was some fantastic football played by the team, and they represented our school brilliantly, supporting each other and playing the game the right way. We look forward to our matches against Tyldesley Primary and Sacred Heart this evening. Well done lads! #TeamStPetersHindley #HSP #StPetersHindley
