General Information
Reading
We love reading at St. Peter's and look to foster that same love of reading in our children and families. To help your child learn to love reading, we ask that children are heard read at home four times a week to help them build fluency and comprehension, as well as to develop a better understanding of this world and to explore new ones! Please ensure you write in your child’s reading record each time you read. Children’s books will be changed on Friday’s; however the teachers will read with the children when there is opportunity. Therefore, they should be sent in every day.
Homework
Children receive homework every Friday to be collected the following Wednesday. They will receive Maths, English and Spelling homework weekly.
PE
Year 2 Class have PE lessons on Wednesday and Fridays. Please ensure your child comes into school in their PE kit on these days. For the safety of our children during PE days, we kindly request that you ensure earrings are covered up or removed before they come to school. This is essential for their well-being.
